🧠 NTC Learning method

One of the teaching methods that we apply in our kindergartens and school when educating students as part of the GENIUS Mind educational program is the NTC Learning method, in which our managers and teachers are regularly trained. In the following lines, we will try to introduce you to this amazing and effective method.

In the following lines, we will try to introduce you to this amazing and effective method.

MENSA ČR AND THE NTC METHOD

Serbian doctor MUDr. Ranko Rajović is considered to be the founder of NTC Learning. Who, together with other scientists, came up with a complex of activities that lead to brain activation. How to work with this methodology is taught by Mensa, an international organization grouping people with an IQ value between the top two percent of the population. In addition to the training of pedagogues and the association of institutions, you will also find popular scientific articles on the Mensa ČR website that relate to the development of children's talents, their diagnosis and subsequent work with their development.

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE NTC METHOD?

The NTC Learning method is based on scientific research, in which its direct influence on increasing brain capacity in childhood was clearly proven. Mensa ČR also states that: "These studies, among other things, point to the fact that the child's brain establishes 75% of all neuronal synapses (connections) by the age of 7 - of which 50% will be created even by the age of 5. This argument seems convincing enough to us to pay very significant attention to preschool age, the effectiveness of learning and the use of children's memory. If our formal primary and secondary education only works with the remaining 25% of the possibilities of using the potential of brain capacity, then it is certainly important for us how a child under the age of 6 is developed..." (link). The goal of this methodology is to increase brain activity so that the number of synapses increases as much as possible.

For this purpose, a system of exercises was created that develops:

  • gross motor skills (e.g. working with a ball, running under a rope, etc.)

  • balance (e.g. spins around an axis, walking on a tightrope)

  • fine motor skills (e.g. stringing beads, embroidery, working with tweezers)

  • working with symbols (e.g. state flags, car brands, letters)

  • attention (e.g. Kim's games, pexeso)

  • rhythm (e.g. body games)

By regularly including activities, we not only develop important brain centers in students, during which both their hemispheres are connected, but we also develop creativity, associative thinking or support them in processing the information they come into contact with. Last but not least, these exercises help prevent so-called specific learning disorders, such as dyslexia.

So when your son or daughter starts to rotate around their axis at home, smile and let them. They train their balance center and "activate their brain" đŸ€©.
