The director of GENIUS Elementary School s.r.o. announces

 

in accordance with legal regulations, in particular with Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on preschool, elementary, secondary, higher vocational and other education (Education Act), as amended, and in accordance with § 3a of Decree No. 48/ 2005 Coll., on basic education and certain requirements of compulsory school attendance, as amended, further according to Act No. 500/2004 Coll., administrative regulations, as amended and Act No. 89/2012 Coll., civil Code, as amended:

 

I. ENROLLMENT in GENIUS Elementary School s.r.o

For the 2023/2024 school year, children who will reach their sixth year of age by 31 August 2023 and children with deferred schooling in the previous year will be enrolled in the 1st year of primary schools.

 

NUMBER OF ACCEPTED PUPILS

The maximum capacity of the first year is 18 pupils in accordance with the school's strategic plan. The school reserves the right not to fill this capacity. 

 

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION OF STUDENTS

In the event of an excess of interest, we make a decision mainly according to the following criteria:
 

1. Strengthening sibling bonds and reconciling parents' family and work life - accepting siblings 

Preference is given to children who have a sibling studying at primary school –  as part of strengthening sibling bonds.

 

In case of free capacity, additional children who come to register and meet the criteria below are accepted.  First children who have two points and then those who have one point. In the event that there are more applicants with the same number of points than the remaining free places, a lottery is held (see below).

 

2. Support for continuity of education - graduation from one of the GENIUS kindergartens (GENIUS Kindergarten Smíchov or Strašnice or GENIUS Kindergarten Olivka kindergarten) - bonified by one point

3. The legal representatives are in accordance with the pedagogical principles and values of the GENIUS Formula Elementary School in the GENIUS MIND concept. 

This is verified during a personal meeting of parents with the school management - bonused by one point

II. ENROLLMENT PROGRESS 

1. Preliminary application 

If you are interested in enrolling in the 1st grade for the 2023/24 school year, please fill out the application formhttps://genius.edookit.net/application/.

 

2. Freshman for the exam

After filling in the preliminary application, parents are offered a date for their child's educational program Prvňáček na prokošan, the aim of which is to introduce parents and children to the values, principles, pedagogical principles and rules of the daily functioning of GENIUS Základní školy s.r.o. .

At that time (or at another agreed date), parents will participate in an interview with the school management, during which they will learn more about the GENIUS MIND concept. Based on the interview with the parents, the fulfillment of the mandatory criterion "sharing the pedagogical principles and values of GENIUS Elementary School" will be assessed. 

Participation in the First year exam program is mandatory. 

 

3. Enrollment

To enroll a child, a binding application must be submitted by April 5. 

The application must be delivered to us in one of the following ways:

1. by submitting in person to the office of our elementary school, on: April 3 and 4, 2023, always from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

2. electronically to the school's mailbox, or

3. by e-mail with the legal representative's electronic signature.
    

Applications received later will only be considered if the capacity is not filled. 

 

4. Verification of parents' compliance with the values and pedagogical principles of GENIUS Elementary Schools sro 

If the fulfillment of this mandatory criterion was not verified after receiving the preliminary application, the parents are invited to an interview  and the child is invited to the First Year program for an exam. 

 

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA 

If there are more applicants meeting the criteria with the same number of points than there are remaining vacancies, they will be ranked in the order determined by the lottery.

III. ACCEPTANCE DECISION 

We will publish the registration results within 15 working days from the end of the registration on the school's website under the number assigned to the applicant. Information on admission to basic education will also be published in the entrance hall of GENIUS Primary School sro 

 

For accepted children, an education contract will be signed on an individually agreed date. Unaccepted applicants will be informed in writing by delivering the Decision on non-acceptance.

IV. LESSONS ON THE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING TO KNOW THE BASIS FOR DECISION 

The school principal decides whether or not to admit a child to the first grade in an administrative procedure, and therefore, in accordance with § 36, paragraph 3 of the Administrative Code, the participants (represented by legal representatives) are entitled to familiarize themselves with the documents for the decision._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_

In accordance with § 38 paragraph 1 of Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Administrative Code, the participants also have the right to inspect the file. It will be possible to get acquainted with the documents for the decision from the day when the list of applicants ranked according to the criteria published on the school's website is published. A specific date must be arranged by phone or e-mail with the school director. We recommend doing so as soon as possible, as decisions on non-acceptance will be issued in the following days.
